Ivory 2-in-1 Influenster Voxbox

On saturday i got my very first voxbox from Influenster. I was so excited! Influenster sends out voxbox's with products for you to try for free, in exchange for reviewing the product and sharing it on social media. My TT Britt has done a few, so i had seen the boxes before and knew how amazing they were. Thus my excitement on being chosen for one!

My Ivory voxbox contained a 24oz bottle of Ivory 2-in-1 Hair and Body wash, refreshing scent. It also contained my instruction card and 3 coupons. I am very picky about my hair products, but for the sake of my review i used it as intended, as a body wash and as a shampoo/conditioner. The scent is very nice, light and pleasant. As a body wash i loved it. It lathers nicely, leaves your skin feeling clean and moisturized, and rinses clean away. As a shampoo/conditioner it worked well, lathers nicely and cleans well. My hair needs deep conditioning from my hair products, so for myself i wouldn't use it that way again. For my son, it was the perfect easy to use product for his hair and body. He liked the way it smelled as well. This is a great product and one i would recommend.

I received these products complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster.

A must try! Homemade "Satin Hands" by Mary Kay replica

Once upon a time I sold Mary Kay. They make a product that i love love LOVE, called "Satin Hands." Satin Hands is a 3 step system with a "hand softener"(moisturizer), a scrub and a hand cream. Using it made your hands feel baby butt smooth, LOL.

Yesterday my best friend in the whole world shared a post with me on facebook for a homemade version of the scrub. I was intrigued. It consists of 2 ingredients and takes about 3 minutes to make. So i figured i would give it a try. Oh my goodness! I used the scrub, which felt and smelled amazing, and then my favorite hand lotion and my hands are now baby butt smooth. It is, in my opinion, just as good as the satin hands set and it didn't cost me $34. (YAY)

I cannot verify the origins or creator of this recipe. I traced it back to a post by a nice looking lady named Holly ( but i couldn't find out if she created it or just found it online. If anyone knows this info feel free to let me know, i love to give credit where credit is due. Now, on to the good stuff.

Knockoff Mary Kay Satin Hands Sugar Hand scrub

Fill a mason jar 3/4 of the way full with sugar. Then add dawn dish soap until it reaches just below the mouth of the jar. (She recommends using the Olay Hand Renewal, which i did) Stir the sugar and soap together until it is paste like. If it seems to be too runny, add a little sugar at a time until it is the desired consistency.

I recommend keeping this is an airtight container, to keep any stray ants out. (It is made with sugar after all) In a small mason jar with a cute ribbon and homemade tag this would be a great gift.

I used mine as soon as it was made. Again, my hands are so soft and smooth. And the scrub really smells so good. And it's pink! I made a label for mine and have it next to the bathroom sink.

So What Wednesday

I'm admitting right now i stole this idea from my TT Britt ( who got it from Shannon at Life After I Dew (

So What Wednesday

This Week I am saying SO WHAT if...
-I don't live up to someone else's expectations for me
-You think i'm "crazy" because i have bi-polar disorder
-My son is 7 1/2 and has only lost 1 tooth, his dentist says he is fine
-I hate to buy anything without coupons

What are you saying SO WHAT to this week?
