Back in the Saddle by Ruth Logan Herne

A prodigal son, an ailing father, a jealous brother, a strong willed female with big faith, the choice between family and money, ...Back in the Saddle has all this and more. The Story is the first of a series, following the men of the Stafford Family. This story is of the eldest brother, Colt, and how he finds himself back on the family ranch after losing it big on Wall Street. The major themes of this book for me were of redemption and forgiveness, as many of the characters have some secrets or flaws brought to light in the book. The only drawbacks for me are that the author is a bit repetitive, and i felt like she could have had less minor characters introduced and instead focused on the development of the major ones. I would have loved more insight into Angelina, for example. Overall though this is a nice slow building romance, with some good adventure to it.

I received this book for free in exchange for my review from Blogging for books. My opinions are 100% my own.
